Recovery Coaching
WHERE TRUE HEALING BEGIN
Recovery is not an event. Rather, it unfolds on a continuum, and is therefore best viewed as a lifelong journey to true health and happiness.
The transition from structured residential treatment into independent living can be especially hard on recovering addicts. It might not be too long after stepping back into the real world that you’re asking yourself, “Who am I? Am I making the right decision?” Everything feels foreign to you sober. You're lost. Lacking direction. Feeling emotions you haven’t felt in some time. Reintegrating with family or reaching out to old friends, suddenly seems overwhelming. And to top it all off, you're fighting the daily triggers of past addiction.
It's in precisely these moments that having a recovery coach by your side can prove critical to avoiding an unwanted relapse.
TO TRUST IN THE MASTERPLAN
At InnerChange Recovery, our recovery coaches have been down the same treacherous path. We understand exactly how you might be feeling and thinking. It is that very personal experience that helps us guide recovering addicts down their own path to self-discovery; that unique empathic dynamic between coach and client that can sow the seeds of powerful change and foster successful living.
We provide this support by using a compassionate hands-on approach.
NO DWELLING
It starts by not dwelling on the past. Instead, we teach you to focus on the here, the now and the future. We focus on your strengths rather than your shortcomings. In practice, becoming the person you are meant to be means having somebody by your side reminding you to do the right thing, to replace negative patterns with healthier ones. We act as your confidential advisor and provide guidance and accountability. This is what inspires self-discovery, the key to boosting your self-esteem, confidence, and motivation.
THE SOONER, THE BETTER
The first step is assessing the client. This is where the coach leverages their own expertise and past recovery success to first help define and then support the steps defined in their client's own Life Action Plan.
From there we can help you focus on forming healthier habits, whether that's finding a job, proposing new ways to communicate with friends and family or helping you make better life decisions. Our focus will always circle back to your strengths, dreams, and objectives. Reminding you that the choices and actions you make and take each day are helping toward those ends.
But perhaps just as importantly, we also help our clients learn how to have fun again. That means supporting any new projects you may have. Whatever helps to make your life colorful again is of the upmost importance to us.
AND IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, WE TRY AGAIN
InnerChange Recovery coaches want you to avoid relapse at all costs.
That's why we are available 24/7 to meet with you in person or remotely through video chat. We can meet weekly, daily - whatever you need. We will meet you in both active addiction and in recovery.
For those that ultimately require a detox or residential service, we can make the necessary recommendations and arrangements, transport you, and pick up the recovery coaching once their respite has been completed.
And if you should relapse, we'll be right there to get you back on track. Call us and let us be your guiding light.
